For over 25 years, Business in the Community Ireland have been leaders in sustainability and social inclusion.
Our purpose is to inspire, challenge and facilitate businesses to bring about a sustainable, low carbon economy and an inclusive society where everyone thrives. We leverage our extensive business network and depth of knowledge to guide businesses to embed all aspects of sustainability into their operations.
Our 120+ members comprise of large national and multinational companies as well as semi-state bodies across diverse sectors. All are committed to becoming more sustainable in their operations by embedding EESG practices into all aspects of their business models.
Priorities
Our work spans all four pillars of sustainability – Economic, Environmental, Social and Governance (EESG). Our passion and impact have guaranteed we’ve advanced sustainable business practices.
Our programmes and partnerships are designed to bring about measurable improvements in environmental sustainability and social equity.
Our approach is based on one-to-one engagement and collective action through our campaigns, the ELEVATE Inclusive Workplace Pledge and Accelerate, The Business Pact for Climate and Nature.
We provide certification through The Business Working Responsibly Mark (“The Mark”), Ireland’s leading Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance (EESG) standard.
Our impact extends to initiatives on inclusion through education and employment, with programmes that engage vulnerable job seekers, as well as students and the education community nationwide.
