Warsaw, 15 April 2023 – WBCSD’s Global Network Partner in Poland, the Responsible Business Forum (RBF), in partnership with Deloitte, has launched an educational program for top management and supervisory boards. The program, titled “Strategy and Leadership in the Age of ESG”, has been jointly prepared with Queen Hedvig Academy and IMD, one of the world’s top business schools, under the auspices of the Chapter Zero Poland initiative.
Responsible Business Forum is a leading expert organization in the field of sustainable development and the Chapter Zero Poland initiative coordinator. In partnership with Deloitte, RBF launched this program to support high-quality educational activities that respond to the most current sustainability challenges for businesses.
The “Strategy and Leadership in the Age of ESG” program is aimed at individuals who hold top management and supervisory positions and wish to develop or acquire new leadership skills to support their company’s strategic transformation. It will help participants integrate ESG solutions into their business strategy and learn how sustainability can become a tool to strengthen competitive advantage by, among other things, mitigating ESG risks and taking advantage of the opportunities presented by the global transformation towards sustainability.
Marzena Strzelczak, President and CEO of the Responsible Business Forum, emphasized that a strategic, long-term approach based on practical, expert knowledge is essential to build and sustain competitive advantage and build stable, resilient organizations. She stated that “Providing this knowledge and, simultaneously, strengthening the cooperation of leaders, with primary focus on sustainability is the aim of the “Strategy and Leadership in the Age of ESG” program.”
Irena Pichola, Partner and team leader Sustainability Consulting Central Europe at Deloitte, said: “New regulations, including the CSRD, make it clear how firmly ESG factor issues must be embedded in every organization’s business strategy. Boards of directors, supervisory boards and business owners are facing the great challenge of climate transformation and building competitiveness based on sustainability. They need knowledge and exchange of experience. “Strategy and Leadership in the Age of ESG” course is designed for business executives who want to tap into the highest level of strategic knowledge about sustainability.”
Karl Schmedders, Professor of Finance at IMD, is one of the program speakers. He said: “Smart business leaders are preparing their organisations for increasing regulatory requirements. They invest in greener technologies and divest themselves of assets that may be lost. Business leaders should act now to avoid the consequences of falling behind competitors in a rapidly changing world.”
The program will be conducted entirely in English. More information can be found on the RBF website, and applications can be made via the form available on this website. When applying for the course, please add Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu/Chapter Zero Poland as a source of information.
