Angela Graham-Brown
Director, Nature Action
Angela joined WBCSD in 2014 where she is now the Director of WBCSD’s Forest Solutions Group (FSG). In this role Angela and her team work with leading forest companies to build and share solutions to sustainable development.
Prior to joining the WBCSD, Angela was a consultant for a Boston-based management consulting firm founded by Harvard Professor Michael E. Porter, working with foundations and corporations to create equitable systems change. During her time there, she gained her first experience in the forest sector on a large-scale forestry project in China. Before that she worked for the World Economic Forum, where she was an account manager for a portfolio of global strategic partner companies in the finance, logistics & transport and consumer goods sectors. She started her career in strategic communications working in an agency on media and investor relations assignments for corporations, international organizations and private foundations.
Angela holds a MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a MA in International Business from the University of Sydney Business School. During her time in Sydney she volunteered for the United Nations Global Compact, Network Australia. In her early years with WBCSD she participated in WBCSD’s Leadership Program, with a thematic focus on climate change.
Angela was born in Australia to a Swiss father and an Australian mother. She now lives in Switzerland with her Scottish husband and two daughters, and enjoys regular visits to her family in Australia. Angela grew up in the countryside in different small communities where father was a doctor. This is the source of her lifelong connection to nature and the outdoors.
Angela tries and enjoys all sports, with varying degrees of success. She particularly enjoys hiking, ski touring, running, biking, swimming and windsurfing. She is also a keen salsa dancer, and studied cello for over a decade at the Swiss music conservatory. Please don’t ask her to play, she hasn’t practiced in quite some time!
