Charlotte de Voogd

Senior Director, Communications

Ms Charlotte de Voogd is strategic communications partner to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) leadership team and leads on building and managing reputation and strategically positioning WBCSD among key stakeholders and audiences. Charlotte joined WBCSD in July 2024 and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 

Charlotte has been working in sustainability since 2010, mostly as an advisor to international corporates in different sectors, where she advised on both ESG and communications strategy. She has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, positioning and issue- and crisis management. Charlotte was Senior Strategy Director with Hill & Knowlton, where she led the Sustainability & ESG Advisory practice, and was Senior Advisor for Darwin International, the consultancy founded and led by Feike Sijbesma. 

She lived and worked in London for 6 years. Here, she founded Allmygoodness, a consultancy and online magazine with a focus on sustainable brands. She also advised McDonald’s UK on reducing and preventing litter, developed an award-winning sustainability training programme for all UK restaurant employees and developed the McDonald’s UK Sustainability Update. Charlotte is a board member at neXus Network, a smart collective driving transformative change in the GreenTech landscape, and is part of a collective with UN Global Compact NL to inspire Dutch companies to commit to SBTi net zero targets.

Charlotte studied law and was a founding participant for THNK School of Leadership. 

Before becoming a sustainability and communications professional, Charlotte worked as a corporate lawyer with ABN AMRO Bank N.V., with a focus on bankruptcies & special credits, M&A and private equity. 

Charlotte strongly believes that in order to be successful, companies need to have a positive impact on society. She is on a mission to help as many companies as possible in their transition. She sees this as her contribution to a better world.
