Mariana Heinrich

Director, Energy

Mariana Heinrich leads WBCSD’s energy pathway, facilitating global coalitions of business and their stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy system. Her and her team’s work supports companies along the energy value chain in the development of ambitious visions and resulting business strategies, and implementation and/or investment in innovative energy solutions.

Mariana joined WBCSD in 2015 from Pöyry Management Consulting (now AFRY), where she was a Senior Consultant for seven years. In this role she led projects in the electricity sector, focusing particularly on integrating renewables into electricity markets, as well as market design and modelling, and advising clients on investment decisions. Mariana has a Master’s degree in Economics from the Christian- Albrechts-University in Kiel.
